Jilin attracts world-wide visitors

Traditional crafts and folk performances were on display during the promotion conference for Jilin province, which was held in Beijing on June 13.

Ushers of the conference were dressed in Manchu, Korean, and Mongolian clothes, which showed the diversified ethnic culture in Jilin.

To promote Jilin's folk dances, Huakaishijie -- a traditional dance showing the positive and optimistic attitudes Jilin people hold towards life -- was performed after the conference. The audience could see the local people's striving spirits for the revitalization of the province.

Meanwhile, traditional crafts belonging to Manchu and Korean people including paper-cutting, gourd-engraving, and Korean glutinous rice cake were demonstrated during the conference.

The conference was intended to promote Jilin's culture and advantageous industries, and improve the province's global influence.
