The Hyatt Regency Guiyang in Guizhou province is hosting a Vietnamese Food Festival throughout the entire month of June.
Authentic Vietnamese dishes, such as Vietnamese spring rolls, will be available to visitors until June 30.
Vietnamese cuisine has a distinctive flavor. Common ingredients include fish sauce, shrimp paste, soy sauce, rice, fresh herbs, fruit and vegetables. Vietnamese recipes often use lemongrass, ginger, mint, Vietnamese mint, long coriander, Saigon cinnamon, bird's eye chili, lime and Thai basil leaves.
"Traditional Vietnamese cooking is greatly admired for its fresh ingredients, and its reliance on herbs and vegetables. Vietnamese food is considered one of the healthiest cuisines worldwide," said Pham Thanh Hung, chef at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa in Guiyang.
"I enjoy sharing my cooking experience and knowledge with junior chefs. I believe that throughout their careers they will have the opportunity to see the world as I did," Hung said.
