Yang Yaming and Zhang Boya, two teenagers born in Yima city of Sanmenxia, Henan province, have qualified for the World Dance Council (WDC) 15th China Open World Cup and the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA) 3rd Junior & Youth Open Championships, to be held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, from July 12-16.
Both of the young candidates won first place in the women's category for age 14 during a competition held by the Henan Dancers' Association, which provided them the opportunity to represent Henan on the international stage.
Yang and Zhang are excellent dancers nurtured by the Yima Dancers' Association. They are the ballroom dancing champion winners of the women's category for age 14 of the 11th Dancing in Central China competition.
The Yima city government has attached great importance to the development of cultural and art in recent years, striving to create better conditions for artistic talent.
