Reading club in Baotou proves big success

Baotou held a reading club activity on June 3, with the aim of promoting reading among residents, according to Baotou Daily.

Guests were invited to explain classic works by Chinese writers, including a collection of poems written by Wang Guozhen, a contemporary poet who was has been a regular contributor to Liaoning Youth, China Youth, and Girlfriend since 1990.

Guests also shared their thoughts on the books they have read and exchanged views with the audience.

Lie Meng Reading Club, initiated by an anchorman of NMTV named Lei Meng, has been held successfully for 80 sessions in various cities in Inner Mongolia including Baotou, Hohhot and Ordos, since its debut in April 2015.
