At the final, children were encouraged to write their suggestions for urban development and send them to the city's 3D printed mailbox. After submitting their thoughts to the Guangzhou Children Activity, staff members will pass them on to various government departments in time for International Children's Day, which falls on June 1 each year.
"The activity encourages every kid to take part in the development of the city, and contribute their part to its future," said Liu Mei, chairman of Guangzhou Womens Federation.
