Tickets for this year's Huajin Securities WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai went on sale at the Hengqin International Tennis Center on May 26.
With $2.28 million in prize money and 700 ranking points for the singles champion, the tournament features Top 20-ranked players in a singles and doubles round-robin format, according to the WTA. Former Grand Slam singles winners Venus Williams and Petra Kvitova won the tourney respectively in 2015 and 2016.
From Oct 31 to Nov 5 will be the third time for Zhuhai to host the Women's Tennis Association. The WTA tournament was first held in 2015, organized by Zhuhai Huafa Group and undertaken by Huafa Sports Operations & Management.

Huafa is also promoting a one-stop tennis training platform designed to get more people interested in the sport and guide a healthy urban lifestyle, hoping it would create a driving force for sustainable development of the city's sports industry, a spokesperson noted.
Eight tennis courts and their coaches will be teamed up with to work out training programs and curricular. It aims to provide all-round tennis training sessions for middle and primary schools, colleges, and communities by integrating tennis courses, coaches, teaching materials, equipment, and online resources.
