Pingtan held an event in Beijing to promote its preferential policies for investors on May 25, as the island city in South China's Fujian province steps up its push to attract investment from enterprises in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
As the closest city on the mainland to Taiwan and an important stop along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Pingtan is embracing an unprecedented development opportunity, said Lin Wenyao, director of the administrative committee of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, at the promotion conference.
