Lushunkou boosts hydrogen energy development

On May 27, the 1st Dalian International Hydrogen Symposium opened in the Dalian World Expo Center, Liaoning province, aiming to accelerate the scientific collaboration and technology industrialization of hydrogen energy.    

As a main force in the new energy field, hydrogen energy has a bright further, Yi Qingdao, the secretary of Lushunkou district Party Committee said in his speech.

Based on Dalian’s independent research and development platform of hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology, Lushunkou will offer more preferential policies and first-rate services and plans to develop the district into the first demonstration base in Northeast China, Yi added.          

At the event, Li Jun, chief executive of the Lushunkou district government, signed a framework cooperation agreement on setting up a new energy industry fund with China Everbright Bank to support the development of hydrogen energy.   

Meanwhile, Lushunkou also reached cooperative intentions with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, who will provide industrial planning service to the district.    

The first academic event in Northeast China attracted many international organizations, scientific research institutions, sister cities of Dalian, universities and State-owned enterprises, including the UNDP (United Nations Development Program), Society of Automotive Engineers of China and  Tsinghua University.
