An ethnic film event took place in Hohhot on May 23, as a warm-up for the 26th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, one of the country's top film industry events.
The event displayed some of the best Inner Mongolia-themed films, such as Norjma, Festival from Mongolia, Farewell, The Mother's Airport, as well as items paying homage to the film history of the vast autonomous region in northern China.
The 26th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival will be held in Hohhot from Sept 13 to 16, to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of Inner Mongolia. Various celebratory events are expected prior to the festival.
