Thirty-five firefighters from 16 fire brigades participated in Changchun's first fire control sports event on May 22, which allowed them to showcase their professional skills and devotion to duty.

The competition teams were separated into five groups according to their respective job duties.
Different from ordinary sports events, these contests all involved elements related to controlling fires. For instance, there was a 400-meter individual protection race, a long jump, and bowling with fire hoses.

The event not only gave the firefighters a chance to practice their skills, but also helped build their team spirit.
The event will last for six days and more exciting competitions are yet to come.
