As the topmost award for Chinese drama performance, this year's Plum Blossom Award sought to both innovate the art form while celebrating classical works.
“The inheritance of Cantonese Opera is of great importance and I hope I can cultivate more young talented performers in the future,” said Su Chunmei, deputy director of Guangdong Cantonese Opera Theatre and winner of this year's Chinese Drama Plum Blossom Award.
