After six months of renovation, Lost City Water Park reopened in April with upgraded facilities that promise exciting aquatic entertainment during the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival holiday from May 28 to 30.
New double spiral slides have been added to the amusement site in Lanpu. One is a red-and-blue tube and the other a yellow-and-green open chute. The various colors will flash by as fun-seekers zip along.

Lost City Water Park will also present new performances along with the country's well-known magicians for a repertoire of bubble and interactive trick shows. Teaching sessions of magic will be available, enabling visitors to experience the mysterious and inconceivable.
Upgrade projects have also been carried out in the water land with over 30 children's play programs added. Here, the youngsters can have close contacts with mermaids, chimpanzees, crocodiles, and cygnets all represented by pebbles.
China's traditional Dragon Boat Festival falls in the midsummer, which is a season that people may get skin disease. In ancient times, people bathed with Chinese hemp agrimony. In accordance to the traditions, rowing dragon boats also help to improve health.
After two years of stage design and rehearsal, the play Journey to the West - Great Sage Equaling Heaven is being performed at New Yuanming Palace. Costing more than 10 million yuan ($1.45 million), the play brings together the efforts of over 100 of China's top artists. Advanced stage technology includes electronic sound, light, and videos.
During the Dragon Boat Festival, the stage play will add interactive sections to bring audiences a memorable evening.
