A 101-hectare urban complex of auto racing, business, tourism, and public service will emerge with the arrival of Legoland Theme Park and outlet malls at Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC).
The 10-billion-yuan ($1.45 billion) renovation will bring the world's third-largest theme park chain after Disneyland and Universal Studios to Tangjiawan, according to an official announcement from ZIC. Owned and operated by the British company Merlin Entertainments, Legoland parks exist or are being built in Denmark, England, California, Germany, Florida, Malaysia, Dubai, Japan, South Korea, and Shanghai.

Legoland will provide Zhuhai residents the opportunity of experiencing an international building block theme park, ZIC stated.
The construction of professional motor-racing support facilities, including the Race Cars Expo Center, supreme cars exhibition, and a racing team R&D office area, are included in the proposal. Additional public service facilities such as a gas station, stadium, car race-theme hotel, and emergency center are also planned.
A tourist area will feature European village-style architecture, enabling visitors to have a continental shopping experience. Leisure areas with restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops will be situated along a river bordering the area.
The Malacca Culture, Economic & Trade Center will be built to accommodate the outlet shops and Legoland Theme Park.
