The public rental service reinstated by the Wuxi government has been posed on the road since May 10, with a total of 11,000 shiny red bicycles to be added in succession to the fleet by the end of the month.

As a major effort by the local government this year, the public bicycles endeavors to provide a green, convenient and cheap way to travel across the city.

Unlike current bike-sharing services that have exploded in the city in recent months, the government bicycles still need to be parked at static parking stations, but on the upside, do not require a deposit and the first hour of every day's ride is free of charge.
