Launched by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Qiaomengyuan is a tailored platform for overseas Chinese to invest or start their businesses in China.
Ningbo's newly established Zone is the 16th Qiaomengyuan in China, and the first one in Zhejiang province.
With YuyaoOne Thousand Talents Plan Industrial Park as its core, the Qiaomengyuan shall give a further impetus to the introduction of foreign investment and high-level talents in Ningbo.
Qiu Yuanping, director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, later addressed the entrepreneurship and innovation symposium targeting overseas talents.
Qiu pointed out the establishment of Qiaomengyuan adheres to the requirements of national economic development, speaking highly of the Zone's rapid progress in Ningbo. A raft of preferential policies to attract overseas Chinese to return and start business in China has been rolled out in recent years.
She hoped more overseas Chinese would seize the unprecedented chance to achieve personal inspirations while contributing more effort to the development of their motherland.
The accomplishment of the newly built Qiaomengyuan is largely dependent on the tremendous support from the local government, she continued, hoping they would further improve related service systems and build up a broader platform for overseas Chinese to unleash their talents.
