Tang Cuiyu , the head of the Women's Federation of Chayou village, has visited some 200 remote villages in Dahua, Duan'an and Bama Yao autonomous counties since 2003, helping empty-nest elderly, people with physical and mental disabilities, as well as paying tuition fees for 35 college students.

In 2013, Tang refit a two-story house as a care center, providing a home to dozens of less well-off elderly people.

Tang's unselfishness has won her much praise from those she has helped, with many giving her the moniker "Loving Mom".

Eleven Yao elderly people once under Tang's care made her a traditional Yao costume to express their gratitude.

In 2016, Tang was named as one of the 10 model citizens in Hechi.
