Baotou, the largest city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is taking necessary steps to enhance its urban environment. Initiatives include planting roadside trees, increasing greenery throughout the city, protecting wetlands, and setting up laws to ensure environmental protection.
The city has been placed on the National Civilized Cities list for four consecutive years due to the city's continued efforts in spurring economic development and improving living conditions.
