The Hyatt Regency Guiyang in Guizhou province is hosting a Balinese Food Festival throughout the entire month of May.
Authentic Balinese dishes, such as shredded chicken and roasted suckling pig, will be available to visitors until May 31.
Indonesian cuisine is incredibly varied and distinctive in flavor and concept, with Balinese cuisine being one of the country’s most sophisticated. The main spices used in Balinese cooking include shallots, chillies, turmeric and lemongrass.
“Balinese food has to be prepared using the freshest ingredients to ensure quality. Food preparation is a long process as one dish requires many ingredients, and each ingredient may be processed in a different manner. The result of this long process is a fragrant, colorful and rich dish. ”said I Ketut Sudiastika, chef of Grand Hyatt Bali in Hyatt Regency Guiyang.
