The first Guangzhou International Biological Forum will be held in Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center on July 3, serving as the "Davos" for the biological field of academic communication, business exchanges and cooperation, according to Southern Daily on May 7.
Hosted by Guangdong provincial government and the Chinese Society of Biotechnology, the two-day forum will be heavily promoted at the starting ceremony of the 10th China Bioindustry Conference, which is an important event presenting high-tech biological research results.
The conference will cement Guangzhou Island (also known as Guangzhou International Bio Island) as the permanent host venue of the annual forum.
In addition, a project roadshow will be held at the forum, as well as a networking session, and a presentation to enhance in-depth communications on biological issues.
A 15,000-square-meter exhibition floor will cater for 200 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from home and abroad.
Guangzhou was approved as a national biological industry base since 2007, and has grown at an annual rate greater than 15 percent since.
