World's first VR gaming town starts construction in Wuxi

Those too young to play the games can explore the 48,000-sq-m stage area and the 71,200-sq-m commercial plaza. The latest in sound and lighting technology will be used to ensure all performances are cutting edge.

The digital industry park, where all the stunning technologies in the town will be produced, will also develop digital technology for filming, medical and education services based on VR, AR (artificial reality) and MR (mized reality) tech. Video game training sessions and e-sports competitions will also be held regularly.

According to JC Group, the project investor, the town will boast an annual capacity for 8 million people. It is estimated to be completed in 2021.
