Hohhot education department has hosted a psychodrama performance with the aim of improving students’ mental health.
The performance was organized by Hohhot’s Yuquan district education bureau at Hohhot No 26 Middle School.
The psychodramas mainly focused on topics such as students’ relationships with their parents, interpersonal communication, self-evaluation and left-behind children.
The performance has helped improve awareness of mental health issues and encouraged a more open environment for discussing mental health.
Students from eight primary and middle schools participated in the performance, including students from Hohhot No 2 Middle School, Hohhot Shile Road Primary School and Hohhot No 1 Middle School.
Psychodramas are plays, films or novels where psychological elements form the main part of the story.
School psychodramas give students the opportunity to act out problems in their daily lives, and encourage them to be open about their feelings.
