Heilongjiang does more trade with Russia than any other province, municipality or autonomous region in China.
Heilongjiang’s total trade volume with Russia hit $1.73 billion in February, an increase of 42.4 percent compared with the same period last year, according to government data.
The province in Northeast China has enacted lots of measures to promote trade with Russia. For example, the province has optimized its product mix and enhanced cooperation with important Russian cities such as Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg.
Meanwhile, the province has also promoted the opening of online stores for local people to buy goods from Russia and improved the payments and clearing system.
