The WeChat payment system became available for ticket purchases at all bus stations around Hechi city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Guangxi Yunda Transportation Group announced on April 23.
After trials being rolled at Jinchengjiang station during the travel peak of the 2017 Spring Festival, the WeChat ticket-buying system was gradually introduced to 10 other local stations, including Yizhou, Luocheng, Huanjiang and Nandan bus stations.
The Labor Day three-day holiday, which lasts from April 29 to May 1 this year, will be a busy travel period around China. The WeChat ticket-buying system is expected to relieve the pressure on those stations where it is available.
Self-service machines and staff service are both available in the stations to get tickets using WeChat payment system.
