A center aimed at integrating civil and military technologies to boost Northeast China’s industrial development was established in Liaoning province’s capital city, Shenyang on April 25.
It is China’s strategy to push forward the integration of its civil and military industries, in a bid to improve national defense capabilities and boost economic development, according to Tang Bo, head of the Northeast China center.
The next step for the center is to apply military technologies to food processing, drone manufacturing as well as bring nanotechnology to the civilian field, Tang claimed.
The establishment of the center is expected to tackle the problems of Northeast China’s lagging industrial development and boost the region’s economic growth by utilizing advanced technologies.
