The annual Shenyang apricot blossom festival opened in Tongjiayu on April 15, giving visitors the opportunity to take in the splendid scenery.
Tongjiayu is located in the Hunnan district of Shenyang city. The mountainous area of Tongjiayu, which accounts for around half of its total area, is home to apricot trees covering an area of 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares). As the spring reaches its peak in the Northeast China region, apricots are in full bloom, providing an excellent place for Shenyang residents to enjoy the spring scenery.
It is the third time that Shenzhou has held an apricot blossom festival. The festival runs for 10 days and ends on April 25.
During the festival, visitors will not only have the chance to enjoy the stunning apricot blossoms, but also participate in the photography competition themed around “Dating with Apricot Blossoms”.
