Baotou introduces birdwatching tours

Nanhai Wetland scenic area, a hotspot for migrating birds, has recently introduced birdwatching tours, reports Baotou Daily.

The scenic area will launch shuttle buses and offer binoculars for rent.

Nanhai Wetland scenic area is a national 4A-level scenic area in the southern suburbs of Donghe district, Baotou, which connects with the Yellow River to the south. It covers 1,664 hectares, boasts more than 200 wild animals and plants, and is situated in the center of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos tourism area.

The scenic area welcomes more than 10,000 migrating birds every spring, including swans, ruddy shelducks and mallards. The birds will stay for two weeks before heading to their next destination.
