The people’s government of Baotou will cooperate with MCC Huatian Engineering & Technology Co on urban development planning after the two parties signed a strategic cooperation framework on Feb 28, Baotou Daily reported.
According to the agreement, Huatian will provide financial, talent and technological support to Baotou, in a partnership that is expected to spur the city’s economic development. The two parties will cooperate in areas such as environmental energy, building construction and engineering consultation.
Kang Chengye, president of Huatian, extended his gratitude to Baotou for the city’s long-term support and outlined the development and progress Huatian has achieved over the past few years at the signing ceremony in Baotou.
Baotou, the largest city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, boasts the headquarters of Baotou Steel Design and Research Institute, which was set up by Metallurgical Corporation of China (MCC), one of Huatian’s parent companies, in 1957.
Kang urged further cooperation with Baotou city to further develop the institute.
Huatian was wholly funded by China Minmetals Corporation (CMC) and MCC, both of which are global top 500 enterprises.
The company provides solutions for city development through its scientific research and development and its engineering designs, which are the basis for its urban and industry development systems. It also offers full life-cycle integrated services, starting with financing, project planning and consulting, and overseeing projects from construction to operation.
