Xinfengjiang National Forest Park, also named Wanlv Lake, lies in Heyuan city, Guangdong province. It is the largest nature attraction in South China with a total area of 1,600 square kilometers, including a water area of 370 square kilometers.
The forest is dominated by evergreen broad-leaf trees and forest coverage reaches 78 percent. It gets the name "Wanlv Lake" as the forest boasts rich animal and plant life, a pristine natural environment and evergreen trees.
Xinfengjiang National Forest Park is also known for its large water area, with excellent quality water and a picturesque landscape. The water area of the forest park is 68 times that of Hangzhou West Lake. The park's water-storage capacity tops 13.9 billion cubic meters and has a total rainfall collection area of 5,800 sq m. The water quality has consistently met top national standards. In addition to its natural charms and refreshing air, the forest also offers water-based leisure activities.
