The Lvtang River Wetland Park sits in downtown Zhanjiang. It was built in May 2007 and was approved as a national urban wetland park in June 2008.
The park covers more than 500 mu (33 hectares), half of which are natural rivers and large pond wetlands.
It has rich animal and plant resources, with 569 varieties of plants and 106 varieties of animals.
The park is a good place to spend leisure time, with natural scenery and buildings such as the Ouxiang pavilion, Tingyu gallery and wooden bridges.
Every summer, lotus flowers blossom in the ponds, attracting many tourists to take photos.
