The Former Residence of Xue Fucheng is also commonly known as Xue’s Garden. Xue was a well-known ideologist and diplomat during the late Qing Dynasty.
The garden was built in 1912. Thousands of plum trees cover the area, resulting in the garden being aptly named Meiyuan (Plum Garden).
