Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in July 1992 and approved by the State Council as a national level economic development zone in March 2010.Located in the east of Xuzhou, the zone covers 293.6 square kilometers with a permanent resident population of 410,000.The zone enjoys superior location and convenient transportation. The high-speed railway, subway, expressway and elevated bridges in the zone are interconnected. Xuzhou East Railway Station is located in the core area of Jinlong Lake, and it takes only two and a half hours to arrive in Beijing or Shanghai by high-speed railway.An industrial system has been formed, which is dominated by engineering machinery and intelligent manufacturing industries and characterized by new energy, biomedicine and great health, integrated circuit and ICT industries.The zone has clustered more than 5,000 companies in fields as diverse as engineering manufacturing, lighting industry, telecommunications products, new home appliances, e-commerce, biopharmacy, medical equipment, intelligent robots, new energy vehicles and solar photovoltaic.The zone is planning the construction of eight characteristic parks, including XCMG Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, Caterpillar Supporting Industrial Park, Tiantong Pan-Semiconductor Technology Industrial Park, Xuzhou Coal Mining Group Digital Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, Fosun Biomedical Honeycomb Industrial Park, Electronic Information Industrial Park (Phase II), Integrated Space (Phase II), and Daoyuan Huaihai Intelligent Port.The zone focuses on the pain points and blocking points in enterprise development and project construction, and provides enterprises with whole-process and all-round support in terms of industrial funds, project support, scientific and technological innovation, etc.
